Audit enquiries: information we use and why
When you request a Direct-Booking Website Audit, the form asks for your name, email address, property or business name, public website URL and any optional context you choose to provide. Please do not include passwords, guest information or other private data.
We use the information in an audit enquiry to review the public website and publicly accessible booking journey you identify, and to respond to your request. The website does not log in to, fetch or automatically store the submitted website. It sends an enquiry notification only; it does not automatically send the audit report.
- Confirmed lawful basis for audit enquiries
- We process audit-enquiry information under our legitimate interests in reviewing your requested audit, responding to you and administering our business. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
- Precise retention period and deletion process
- We retain audit enquiries, correspondence and audit reports for 12 months after our last substantive contact. We then delete them from our email inbox and files, unless we need to retain them for a legal claim or you become a client.
Service providers, locations and transfers
The website sends audit enquiry notifications using Resend.

- We use Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) to send audit-enquiry notifications. Resend processes the enquiry data on our behalf. Its privacy information and data-processing terms are available at Resend Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
- International transfer details and safeguards, if applicable
- Audit-enquiry data may be processed in the United States by Resend. Resend states that its UK transfers use the UK Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request information about those safeguards by emailing [email protected].
- Any additional processors or recipients
- We use the following service providers to operate, secure and improve this website:
- Hetzner Online GmbH hosts the website on a virtual private server. It may process technical request and security-log data, and information submitted through the website, where necessary to host and operate the service.
- Cloudflare, Inc. provides DNS, redirects, caching and security services. It may process IP addresses, technical request data and submitted request content where necessary to route, protect and deliver the website.
- Google Workspace (Google LLC) provides our business email service. Audit-enquiry notifications received at our business email address are processed through Google Workspace.
- Google Search Console (Google LLC) helps us monitor how the website appears in Google Search and identify indexing or technical issues. It does not receive audit-form submissions.
We also use Resend to send audit-enquiry notifications, as described in the section above.
Some of these providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where required, we rely on the relevant provider’s data-processing terms and transfer safeguards. You can ask for further information by emailing [email protected].
Optional analytics cookies
Google Analytics is enabled in this website’s configuration. It is loaded only after you choose to allow analytics cookies through the cookie banner. Rejecting or withdrawing consent prevents future analytics collection from this website.
We do not send names, email addresses, audit enquiry details or other form contents to Google Analytics. You can change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer.
- Analytics provider, processing locations and transfers
- With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand page use and completed audit-request events. We do not send names, email addresses or form contents to Google Analytics. Google may process data outside the UK, including in the United States.
- Confirmed lawful basis and cookie information
- We use analytics cookies only with your consent. You can accept or reject analytics through the banner and change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Our preference cookie is retained for up to 180 days.
Your rights and how to contact us
- Rights, request process and complaint route
- You may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of your personal information, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity and will respond without undue delay, normally within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
This notice should be reviewed whenever the business, its services, processors or analytics arrangements change.
